Achilleas Iskas was born in Thessaloniki in 1984. He graduated from the Dental School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2007. In 2014 he completed his master studies in Medical Ethics and Bioethics in the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The title of his thesis was “Quality assurance in Dentistry”. In 2015 he completed the three – year Post Graduate Program of Specialization in Periodontology and Implant Biology in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The title of his thesis was “Acetylcholine levels in saliva and gingival crevicular fluid in individuals with periodontal disease and periodontal health”. Since 2016 he is in charge of the Periodontics Department of the Dental Clinic of Thessaloniki. He is an active member of the European Federation of Periodontics and the Hellenic Society of Periodontics. He has published various scientific articles and presented oral and poster presentations in several congresses concerning periodontics and implantology. He speaks English, German and French.
